Kihnu Knitting festival – women’s socks

20.-22. June 2018

Metsamaa culture farm

3 days of knitting and fun activities await in Kihnu right before St John’s day! The best knitters of the island will come to guide you through the magical world of Kihnu-style knitting. Gloves, mittens, socks, sweaters, hats – you name it. This year’s camp is dedicated to Kihnu puõlsukad – white women’s socks with red and textured pattern.

While you’re resting your knitting needles, you can enjoy a guided tour of the island with visits to the lighthouse and museum, traditional dance workshop and an evening with legendary, 90-year old songmaster Kihnu Virve.

Participation fee is 150 € + 20 % sales tax (includes accommodation in Metsamaa farm, food, knitting workshops, knitting supplies and free time activities). 130 € + 20 % sales tax withou accommodation.
